End of Degree Project
A project that spans a year and a half compressed in a few paragraphs. This project is the culmination of 4 years of continuos studies at UDIT. A project born from my mother's village in Soria, one of the most deserted places in Spain.
A project to pay tribute to the men and women that lived and died there. A project to talk about depopulation.
(MY APPROACH)
Something that used several mediums, trying to reach as many touchpoints as possible. Website, print, digital, video, 3D, type and more where the main focus in this task. A complete project, from top to bottom, to pay homage to the inhabitants of Dévanos, a small village in the northeast part of Soria.
(IDEA)
The school where every child that was born in Dévanos studied their elementary course at. The place where it all started for all of them, as the base for a font family that aimed to transcend boundaries and frontiers.
(CHALLENGES)
From making a font family without knowing how to do so, to making a webpage in record time so people could test and download the fonts. This was no easy task but the result fills me with immense proudness.
(RESULT)
A display-focused font family, versatile thanks to it's visual properties and the weights it has. Also, a webpage that explains the story and history of the place where the school is settled, and a printed specimen in Risograph to showcase the type.
